Challenge Ideas
Physical

Flamingo Stand- Balance on one leg for as long as possible.

Balance Walk- Walk across the room with someone on their head. (Bean bag, stuffed animal, book, ect...)

Tiptoe Freeze- Stand on tiptoes for 15 to 30 seconds.

Wall sit- sit against a wall as if in an invisible chair for 10 to 20 seconds.

Plank- See who can hold a plank longest

Push up burst- How many push ups can be done in 30 seconds.

Bear Crawl- On hands and feet move across the room. (Can be done in a race or individually)

Crab walk- On hands and feet but stomach up. (Can be done individually or as a race)

Bunny hops- Hop across the room and back.

Spin and Dash- Spin in a circle 5 times and complete a task or get to a point in the room.

Cross the room- Ask them to cross the room acting as a different animal or profession.

Create a short obstacle course with a combination of activities.

Spelling- Spell their name backwards.

Number Chain- Say a string of numbers and have them repeat them back. You can add a number after each round.

Sound Sequence- Clap or tap a short rhythm and have them repeat it.

Category Burst- Name as many animals/ food/ countries/ colors as possible in 30 seconds.

Alphabet Relay- Say a word that starts with the next letter the alphabet.

Rhyme Race- Give a word and they list as many rhymes as possible.

Mini Riddles- (What has hands but cannot clap- Clock)

Spot the difference- Give a sentence and then repeat it changing one word and have them spot the difference.

Double Dash- Call out a number and they have to double it or half it.

Describe something- Pick something in the room to describe and they have to find it fast.

State race- Name States for 30 seconds.

Story telling- Start a story and have them finish the story.

Mental- Name five objects you see in the room and have them list back as many as they can

Physical- 5 Jumping Jacks for each object remembered

Mental- Name as many animals as possible in 30 seconds.

Physical- For each one they say they take one step towards a finish line.

Mental- Solve 5 quick math problems.

Physical- After each correct answer they do 3 hops on one foot before the next question.

Mental- Name five shapes.
-
Physical- For each shape strike a pose with your body to match that shape.

Mental- Pick a color and ask them to identify 5 things that are that color.

Physical- Have them do a silly walk to that item.
